An employer calls Miss B into a meeting without notice and says she has been provisionally selected for redundancy. She is given a settlement agreement and told to go home and consider it. As is required with a settlement agreement, she takes it to a solicitor. The solicitor advises her that she has a case and the sum of money being offered is low. The solicitor advises her to negotiate for a higher sum of money.
