Workplace Age Discrimination – Insurance Worker Resigns After Acts Of Age Discrimination

We are proud to have represented David Finch in a recent claim where he was successful in bringing claims of age discrimination and constructive dismissal against his former employer. The discriminatory acts included an email by Shirley Bellamy (Managing Director) which stated, “we know you have been around since Pontius was a Pilate . . .” and reference to Mr Finch dying of coronavirus if he did not take annual leave at a particular time. After being discriminated against, Mr Finch resigned and the employment tribunal upheld his claim for constructive unfair dismissal. The case was widely reported in the press. The full case report can be seen here.
