Uber driver awarded £22,960.85 representing holiday and unpaid wages

Farrar v Uber London Ltd and another ET/2202551/2015

An employment tribunal awarded a former Uber driver the sum of £22,960.85 in respect of
his holiday pay and unlawful deduction from wages. This was because he hadn’t been paid
holidays which he was entitled to as a worker pursuant to the Working Time Regulations.
Further, he was entitled to the National Minimum Wage (currently £10.42) for periods of time
that he was logged into the Uber app and was ready and willing to accept trips.
